Thank you for visiting Cahill’s!
Cahill’s came to be in 1967 when John F. Cahill, Jr. purchased a used Volkswagen Bug on a trip to Brattleboro. In his efforts to make repairs to the vehicle, he purchased another Volkswagen Bug for parts and that was the beginning of Cahill’s Garage!
In the beginning John focused on re-building Volkswagens and eventually moved on to purchasing “end of life” cars and trucks to recycle their parts for use in other working vehicles. Today, Cahill’s recycles most makes and models of cars and trucks but specializes in Subaru’s.
John remained an active daily presence in his business for 45 years until his sudden passing in December 2011. During those years, John was very involved in the Automotive Recyclers Association of New York (ARANY) where he held many offices including that of President.
Cahill’s continues its daily operations under John’s son Tim, his wife Carrie and their team of dedicated employees.
